New hair spa unveiled at Bali resort
POSTED 08 Dec 2011 . BY Pete Hayman
Alila Villas Soori, a luxury resort situated on Bali's southwestern coast, has announced the launch of a new standalone hair spa offering a complete menu of hair and scalp treatments.

Part of the existing Spa Alila, the space is "heavily influenced" by Indonesian recipes and treatments have "interchangeable elements" to suit individual hair type and needs.

The hair spa has four adjustable barber-style loungers and offers the latest haircare knowledge; scalp stimulation techniques; and crème bath recipes.

As part of the crème bath treatment, a clay-based mask is massaged into the hair and scalp and left to condition while pressure point massages are used on the neck and shoulders.

A 10-minute steam is then applied to open the pores, which is followed by a cool wash with a signature Spa Alila shampoo and coconut conditioner made in Bali.

Meanwhile, the existing Spa Alila comprises a signature treatment suite with Vichy showers; heated terrazzo beds; a steamroom; a whirlpool; rain showers; and massage beds.

There are also a number of beachfront spa suites, which have been launched at Alila Villas Soori in order to "bring the spa to the guest" and ensured additional privacy.
