New wellness concept to launch in London's Battersea Neighbourhood
POSTED 23 Jul 2019 . BY Lauren Heath-Jones
Linnaean is a new health, beauty and lifestyle concept inspired by Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus
A new wellness concept is set to open in the Nine Elms neighbourhood of Battersea, London.

Called Linnaean, the health, beauty and lifestyle store will open its flagship location this autumn at Embassy Gardens, a central riverside development overlooking Chelsea and Pimlico.

Named for Carl Linnaeus, a Swedish naturalist known for his work in botany and zoology, Linnaean is billed as a 'complete and curated retreat for busy urbanites' and will offer 'a unique environment for curious bodies and open minds to consciously nourish, adapt and grow'.

Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (MBDS) to reflect the energy of the local community, Linnaean combines a contemporary retail space with a sustainable approach to wellness. It will aim to redefine the traditional beauty space, and will feature a four-room treatment salon dedicated to new developments in beauty, relaxation and self-care. The salon will offer advanced bio-science beauty treatments and high-spec beauty technology alongside more traditional salon treatments.

With an emphasis on fresh, responsibly-sourced produce, the cafe and restaurant will have an 'inventive and artisanal approach to food and drink', and will offer a plant-based menu with flexitarian options, while the shop will carry a diverse edit of globally-sourced products and experiences.

"We set up Linnaean to help navigate modern living and promote health and happiness," said Elena Tayleur, founder of Linnaean

"Contemporary life is filled with negative and positive disruption. We go through constant changes that can herald both opportunity and overload. We help our guests to keep up while keeping balanced.

"Linnaean is a space, and philosophy, for health, hair, beauty and lifestyle, providing a nourishing and stimulating blend of the latest and greates with the primordial," she continued.

"Located in Nine Elms, which is developing at a rapid and exciting rate, Linnaean aims to support and nurture the local community, and encourage a feeling of urban connectedness and sustainability."
