A 1.25m euro (£0.85m, US$1.69m) wellness facility called the Northern Light Spa is to open at the Hotel Selfoss in Selfoss, Iceland, in November.
The Northern Light Spa will have four treatment rooms, a steamroom, sauna, rainwater showers, a relaxation room, fireplace, lounge, juice bar and ice area.
Treatments will include massages, facials, manicures and pedicures.
Consultant Knut Buengen from Germany-based Klafs headed up the development and design of the spa, which will cover around 3,230sq ft (300sq m).
The spa will be operated as an independent business, but in full co-operation with the management of the hotel, with the operator still to be finalised.
