Orient Retreat Spa, one of Asia’s leading spa chains, will open a new day spa in Taichung, Taiwan.

Planned to open by the end of the year, the design and construction work will be undertaken by Robert D. Henry architects, who have created a number of destination spas throughout the world, including the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach.

The Orient Spa Taichung will blend Eastern and Western philosophies with treatments that focus on stress relief and relaxation.

Treatments include a wide range of massages, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, slimming programmes and Orient’s signature treatment – the healing flower remedy that includes Chinese massage practices.

Orient Retreat operates 17 spas across North America and Asia.
