The Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa in Pattaya, Thailand, has been selected to receive an award given quarterly by its parent company Marriott International in recognition of the work of its staff with children’s organisations.

Up to 10 Marriott hotels from around the world are selected to receive the award, which is given directly from the company’s chair and CEO Bill Marriott, Jr.

Staff at the Marriott resort and Royal Garden Spa won the award primarily for providing support to three local schools in the Chonburi and Rayong provinces. This included providing a source of drinking water at one of the schools where students previously had to bring their own water from home.

The resort and spa is located in the heart of the city of Pattaya. The resort also boasts two bars and a large swimming pool.
