The Preferred Hotels Group has added 18 properties, many with spas, to its Preferred Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

Part of the additions include a number of new spa resorts and destinations due to open later this year.

These include the Finca Cortesín in Casares, near Sotogrande in Spain. Part of the Stein group, the Finca Cortesín is due to open later this year with a large spa and is surrounded by 150 hectares of Mediterranean mountains.

Another new hotel is the Montage Beverly Hills in California, US. Located in the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Southern California’s premier neighbourhood, the 201 bedroom Montage Beverly Hills, is due to open in late 2008, and will offer a luxurious spa, expansive public colonnades and gardens.

AM Resorts’ Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun in Mexico has also joined the Preferred portfolio. Set on a Mexican beach, this all-suite resort will offer restaurants, 12 swimming pools, an infinity pool, and a spa and spa garden, for both outdoor and indoor treatments.

Other new members include The Opposite House in Beijing, China, and Carlton Savannah in Trinidad, West Indies.
