Pueblo Bonito Resorts will launch a luxury property and spa under its new brand, Pueblo Bonito Vantage, in the Mexican city of San Miguel de Allende in September.

The Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel will range across 2.5 hectares and will have 111 bedrooms and suites in one wing of hacienda-style buildings and 45 privately-owned villas and condominiums in another.

With colourful neo-colonial design by Arquitectura de Interiores, the accommodations will each have terraces with views of the city’s historic downtown.

Aromátika Spa

Consultancy Mestre y Mestre Spa and Wellness has designed the wellness facilities. A spa, wellness centre for advanced tech therapies and fitness centre are located in a series of standalone buildings around a 237sq m botanical garden, adjacent to the hotel lobby.

Diana Mestre told Spa Business about the spa’s holistic wellness philosophy, which is built around four pillars:
• Sana (healing) – “Through innovative techniques and therapies, the body is given a chance regain its natural balance and ability to heal,” said Mestre.
• Fluye (flowing) – “The facilities promote fluidity in all aspects of life, from blood circulation to the flow of positive thoughts,” she added. “Our methodology seeks to unlock the patterns that limit guests’ potential and we encourage constant forward movement through hydrothermal rituals and contrast therapy.”
• Reinicia (resetting) – “Stress and accumulated tension can negatively affect our wellbeing,” continued Mestre. “We offer mental and physical reset techniques.”
• Renacer (being reborn) – “By offering spaces and treatments for self-care and self-reflection, we can transform and begin to achieve balance.”

“Together, these pillars offer a transformative experience for body, mind and spirit,” added Mestre.

The 768sq m Aromátika Spa is inspired by the local wine culture. It will have two single treatment rooms, one couple’s room and a VIP suite with a wooden wine bathtub and private bathroom.

Wine is not only reflected in the interior design colour palette – in furniture, textiles and accent walls – the spa menu will also offer treatments using an exclusive signature skincare range developed by Natural Benefits that was inspired by it.

Diana Mestre told Spa Business, “Aromatika incorporates traditional wine therapy, leveraging the antioxidant properties of red grape derivatives from Guanajuato’s emerging wine region. Treatments use resveratrol-rich products to enhance skin health, promote collagen production, and reduce irritation.”

The spa also has a relaxation room and a hydrotherapy suite with equipment supplied by Fluidra. These contrast therapy facilities include a herbal steamroom, sauna, contrast experience shower, whirlpool, polar pool and thermal loungers.

Aromátika Wellness

The 126sq m Aromátika Wellness Centre is a space for more advanced technological treatments.

There will be a treatment room for dry floatation therapy using the Nuvola bed by Starpool, as well as an ice bath and infrared sauna, a breathwork room and a dining venue for healthy food, with meals featuring adaptogens.

Fitness centre

The property’s fitness centre will measure 200sq m and there will be space for personalised workouts, yoga and pranayama breathing sessions.

Other experiences

The property also has a beauty salon, bridal suite, retail shop and multiple dining venues.
