An employment tribunal has heard how a masseur at the Sanderson Hotel in west London left clients “severely bruised” after over-vigorous treatments.
According to The Daily Telegraph, it was claimed in the tribunal that Brian McGuinnes’ “unique”
technique left one client at the hotel’s spa with
10-inch bruises around his spine.
Following “numerous” warnings, the five-star hotel eventually sacked McGuinnes. He denies
hurting his clients, saying that, in four years
working at the hotel, only three out of the 4,000 guests he has treated showed any symptoms.
McGuinnes is claiming unfair dismissal and sex discrimination from the hotel. The case continues.
