Six Flags New England will open the world’s tallest swing ride with its upcoming New England Skyscreamer.
The 400ft (121m) ride will be able to launch 24 people 40-storeys into the air while spinning at speeds of around 40mph (64kmph).
Since 2011, Six Flags has installed SkyScreamers in seven of their parks, with this unit becoming the chain’s eighth.
The record-breaking ride, which opens in Q3 of 2014, will take the title for the world's tallest swing ride from Six Flags’ Texas SkyScreamer, which will be slightly smaller.
