Shire Hotels has announced the opening of a £1m spa at the recently refurbished Solent Hotel & Spa in Fareham, Hampshire, UK.

The spa comprises a 13m swimming pool, a fibre-optic steamroom, a colour-therapy sauna and a fully-equipped gym and studio.

Eight treatment rooms offer more than 60 treatments by fully-trained E’SPA therapists using the E’SPA product range.

All treatments are carried out on hydrotherm beds, in which warm cushions of water support the body. Treatments range from aromatherapy massages and hot stone therapy to body wraps and reflexology treatments using seaweed and cleansing muds.

The spa also provides VitaMan products, treatments and techniques for male guests.

A spa suite for couples and friends complete with an outdoor hot tub and a private terrace is due to open in mid-May.

The hotel’s bedrooms and public areas are currently undergoing a £1.5m refurbishment, to be completed by the summer. Details: www.shirehotels.com
