Hotel operator JW Marriott has completed a soft opening of its £150m St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London, ahead of an official opening in May.

When fully operational, the 245-bedroom property, located within the historic St Pancras, will boast a large luxury spa and a restaurant operated by celebrity chef Marcus Wareing - named after architect Gilbert Scott who designed the building.

Facilities at the St Pancras Spa include five treatment rooms and a couple's suite; spa pool; and a relaxation area. French product supplier Cinq Mondes has been appointed devise the treatment menu.

The spa packages on offer will be based on journeys to "far away countries", bringing together Cinq Mondes' Beauty Rituals of the World brand to create a sensorial journey for the client.

Treatments will include the Ko Bi Do Facial, incorporating ancient Japanese massage techniques; Udvartana Ayurvedic Slimming Ritual from India; Puree de Papaye Radiance Scrub from the Kingdom of Siam; and Traditional Massage of the Orient based on Moroccan and Egyptian traditions.

Cinq Mondes was founded ten years ago by Jean-Louis Poiroux.

The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London will officially open in London's Kings Cross on 5th May 2011, 138 years exactly after the original hotel - The Midland Grand, opened.
