US-based supplier Universal Companies has partnered with consultant, educator and founder of the Advanced Spa Therapy Education and Certification Council (ASTECC) Anne Bramham.

The partnership means Universal will offer aestheticians and body therapists training in a wide range of natural, holistic therapies, including Dr Vodder’s MLD, connective tissue, aroma-reflexology and biochemical elements at its Wellness and Beauty Learning Center in Torrance, California.

“The ASTECC programme is the most important continuing education credential for spa professionals,” said Anita Lumpkin, Universal Companies’ national director of education. “Partnering with Anne Bramham to bring this programme to more therapists is such an honour.”

The ASTECC programme is one of several advanced education programmes being offered during 2018 at the Wellness and Beauty Learning Center. Plans are also underway to expand access to my spa professionals through live-streaming by mid-2018.

“We’re excited to be working closely with Universal Companies," said Bramham. “Over the years, our training has largely been with destination and resort properties, and we look forward to working with and training independent practitioners.”
