The Quay Hotel & Spa in North Wales has invested £1 million (€1.2 million, US$1.3 million) adding new thermal facilities to its coastal-inspired spa
Updated features include a thermal suite with a halotherapy aromatherapy room, an infrared sauna, a Finnish sauna and an aromatherapy steam room
The spa is partnered with Welsh-based skincare and spa brand Oskia and cloud-based software provider Trybe
The Quay appointed Dale Sauna and Pro Build to help realise the new facilities
North Wales’ four-star The Quay Hotel & Spa in the Deganwy Marina in Conwy has invested £1 million (€1.2 million, US$1.3 million) refreshing its 580sq m destination spa with new wellness facilities.

Inspired by its waterside location, the spa is designed to offer a recovery-focused sanctuary for those who have explored local areas of outstanding natural beauty, including the nearby national park of Snowdonia.

With the help of Dale Sauna and Pro Build, the spa has been updated with a thermal suite comprising a halotherapy aromatherapy room, an infrared sauna, a traditional Finnish sauna and an aromatherapy steamroom.

The new thermal area is anchored by a large swimming pool and adjoining vitality pool, in addition to a large experience shower and foot bath area. This space is complemented by day beds, heated loungers and gentle, blue-toned lighting to reference the spa's coastal setting.

There are also eight new treatment rooms, where guests can enjoy face and body treatments supplied by spa and skincare brand Oskia which manufactures its products in the rolling hills of Wales.

Guests are encouraged to unwind pre- and post-treatment in the spa’s relaxation room – located next door to the brand new spa café – which offers a tranquil environment with rose-hued twinkling lights and cosy seating.

Thanks to the new spa, the hotel has recruited a further two leisure staff members as well as taking on two spa apprentices, a side of the business the team is keen to work on to give young, local people the opportunity to grow their career in hospitality and spa.

The spa is working with cloud-based software provider Trybe as its booking system for treatment and spa use.

Brid Adams,The Quay Hotel & Spa’s GM, says: “With the addition of the new spa, the resort offers a complete experience for our guests – a place to unwind, relax, take a break from the world and enjoy a luxury spa experience. And what better way to complete the day than watching a glistening sunset with a spectacular view of Conwy Castle.”
