Westin’s Heavenly Spa concept touches down in UK
POSTED 22 Nov 2021 . BY Megan Whitby
The spa is partnered with Germaine de Capuccini, Aromatherapy Associates and Philosophia Botanica to provide a variety of treatments
Marriott’s luxury city hotel brand Westin Hotels & Resorts has opened a new location and branded Heavenly Spa by Westin urban wellness retreat in London, UK.

The new spa at Westin London City marks Heavenly Spa’s very first location in the UK.

To date, the urban wellness concept is nearing 200 locations worldwide, spread throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America and the Middle East.

Marriott created Heavenly Spa to offer Westin guests a tranquil escape from hectic city life with the opportunity for peaceful relaxation and experiences that activate the seven senses; the five physical senses, plus the psychological senses of emotion and meaning.

The Heavenly Spa in London includes five treatment rooms, a sensory shower, sauna, steamroom, ice fountain, relaxation room and a nail services room.

Design details include a neutral colour palette with textured bath stone, sage greens and aquatic blues to awaken the senses.

Delicately positioned around the archaeological remains of the Huggin Hill Bathhouse, the spa’s pool reflects the history that lies beneath it. The gently lit hydrotherapy area is complemented by day beds for relaxation.

The spa is partnered with Germaine de Capuccini, Aromatherapy Associates and Philosophia Botanica to provide a variety of treatments, ranging from traditional massages and facials to specialist Ayurvedic rituals.

Upon entering the treatment rooms, each guest is invited to symbolically leave their worries at the door by placing any negative thoughts or feelings into a burden box.

This is a signature moment of all guests' treatment journeys at Heavenly Spa locations.

Affixed to each of the treatment room doors, the boxes are designed to allow guests to let go and start afresh before indulging in their chosen therapy.

Following each treatment, guests are invited to retreat to the relaxation room to enjoy a cup of White Tea by JING, to encourage a moment of quiet reflection.

Additional facilities include a gym, restaurant with nutritious wellness cuisine and a juice bar.

The Heavenly Spa concept forms an integral part of Westin’s wider approach to wellness that’s designed to empower guests to focus on wellbeing while travelling through its six pillars: Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well, and Play Well.
