The gym and weights area of Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa has seen the installation of a new floor as part of a major refurbishment programme.
The requirement was to replace old gym carpet tiles with a modern multi-sports flooring and contractors KC Carpets & Flooring of Poole recommended Marley Floors' Omnisports Training surface.
Mark Thwaites, Spa Manager at Chewton Glen, says: "We felt the natural wood effect design was ideal, it's easy to maintain and it's been tested for performance and durability."
In addition to the Training specification, which comes in a thickness of 3.6mm, Omnisports is available in a Pro version, at 7.65mm, and Competition, at 8.75mm.
All have been tested to BS standards to meet traction, slip resistance, indentation and ball rebound requirements.
A range of eight plain colours is available, with two wood effect options, and a special PU surface treatment makes for easy maintenance. At the installation stage, the two metre sheet width of the flooring reduces the number of welded joints.
