| Sao Paulo to host 1st Brazilian Spa Congress |

The city of Sao Paulo is to host the 1st Brazilian Spa Congress and the 2nd Medical Travel Meeting Brazil on 28-30 August, 2011.
The event is designed to contribute to the development of the spa industry in Brazil, offering information, case studies and international trends and showing the importance of the convergence between traditional medicine and wellness.
It will feature speakers, international guests and spa companies from Brazil and other countries, providing a major networking opportunity for spas, entrepreneurs and market players.
Local attendees will include representatives from sectors including spas and spa consultancies, cosmetics, hotels and resorts, aesthetic clinics, medical diagnostic centres, hospitals, health professionals, suppliers, banking and investors and the media.
Among international attendees present will be delegates from the spa and wellness, resort, consultancy, insurance, benefit, hospital and referral sectors.
The format of the event will comprise national and international presentations, round-tables and debates, pre-scheduled business meetings, exhibitions and technical visits to hospitals.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to join a tour of Sao Paulo on 28 August, which will include lunch. There is also the option of joining a visit to a spa.
With an estimated number of attendees of 450, the meeting will be held at the Sheraton Hotel Sao Paulo WTC, Av. das Nacoes Unidas, 12.559 Sao Paulo, Brazil.
