| Spa Life UK celebrates freedom cautiously |

The Spa Life UK Convention will take place on 2-3 August at the Wyboston Lakes Resort, UK, making it one of the first live events of the year for the spa industry.
Andrew Hammond, event director, told Spa Business: “We’re very excited to be welcoming so many senior spa and wellness professionals to Spa Life UK and would like to assure all delegates that we’ll continue to observe many voluntary COVID-Safe procedures to safeguard their health and wellbeing throughout the event.
“We’re confident in the experience of our host venue in safeguarding delegates – particularly as throughout the pandemic it has acted as a training base for the Ambulance Service.”
Hammond went on to detail some of the COVID-secure practices that will be observed throughout the convention. These include:
- All staff being required to provide a negative COVID test prior to the event
- Full-body temperature checks via commercial thermal scanner at point of entry
- Hand sanitation stations at point of entry and high foot flow areas
- One-way traffic flows around the venue where necessary
- Increased ventilation in meeting areas
- Socially-distanced seating in all areas
- Increased spacing between display stands where possible
- Face masks may be provided subject to availability or delegates are welcome to bring their own masks.
In summary, Spa Life will continue implement all necessary protocols to guarantee attendees’ safety while delivering some good, clean and healthy fun!
