While the damaging effects of UV rays on our skin are very well documented, we’re generally much less aware of the damage caused by environmental pollutants and blue light
– Antonia David
Your skincare routine just got smarter thanks to Elemental Herbology’s latest product innovation, Smart Screen SPF50.

With a vegan, silicone-free and fragrance-free formula, the lightweight SPF50 moisturiser is super-charged with highly protective high-tech, naturally derived ingredients to shield the skin from sun damage, blue light from screens and pollution.

These include Pollustop® and Aquaceria which form an invisible, breathable shield on the skin and help to scatter UV rays and blue light while skin-nourishing ingredients such as provitamin B5, and vitamin E help to hydrate, repair and strengthen the skin.

Head of education at Elemental Herbology, Antonia David, explained: “While the damaging effects of UV rays on our skin are very well documented, we’re generally much less aware of the skin damage caused by exposure to environmental pollutants and blue light.

“Regular and frequent exposure to vehicle exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke and heavy metal emissions, as well as to the blue light emitted by our digital devices puts the skin in a state of oxidative stress, causing a breakdown of collagen, a weakened skin barrier and excess pigmentation, resulting in a dull, uneven skin tone.

“Smart Screen SPF50 is our latest addition to the Fire element range, making it a perfect feather-light daily moisturiser and protector which can be used on its own, or in addition to your usual moisturiser.”

Smart Screen SPF50 will be available from May in both professional and retail sizes.
