HPO Tech brings design-led hyperbaric systems to the spa floor

We engineer our devices so the therapy works and the guest wants to come back. A great experience for our users is, for us, non-negotiable.
– Alexandru Harbuzaru, chief business development officer, HPO Tech

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has moved well beyond the clinic and spa operators represent the  fastest-growing market for the technology.

HPO Tech, the Istanbul manufacturer of hyperbaric, hypobaric and multibaric systems, has built its range around a question most makers overlook: what does the person inside actually experience?

The answer shows up in chambers designed around visibility and space: large panoramic acrylic windows, ergonomic seating and luxurious interior materials replace the cold steel cylinder. For a spa or a wellness centre, this translates into guests who book again and again.

HPO Tech systems hold international clinical certifications, including EU MDR, PED 2014/68/EU, UKCA, ASME PVHO, ASME U-Stamp, ISO 13485, SFDA, UAE MOH+EDE, Medsafe New Zealand, Thai FDA, Ghana FDA, and ISO 9001. The company is also in the process of obtaining official certifications in the following markets: USA FDA, Philippines FDA, Vietnam DMEC, Hong Kong MDACS, Mexico COFEPRIS, Singapore HSA, Taiwan FDA and Japan PMDA.

Systems are built in-house from design through final assembly, with customisation that spans exterior finishes, interior leather and brand integration – so a chamber reads as part of a space rather than an intrusion into it.

Multi-seat options, such as the Atlantis, seat two guests under in a single chamber, lifting throughput without added floor space or staffing.

Alexandru Harbuzaru, chief business development officer at HPO Tech, said: "A spa buys an experience, not just a device. We engineer ours so the therapy works and the guest wants to come back. A great experience for our users is, for us, non-negotiable."
