The demand for wellness communities is growing worldwide, because individuals are now seeking a combination of healthy lifestyle, sustainable environments and dedicated service at their fingertips

International spa and wellness consultancy and management company GOCO Hospitality is creating a mixed-use wellness community in Khao Yai’s wine country, two hours north of Bangkok.
The community will include a 36-suite wellness retreat along with 48 wellness condominiums and 159 condominiums and large-scale residences, as well as a retail village and community park. Bangkok-based Tierra Design is also working on the project.
Set to open later this year, the community will also be managed by GOCO.
GOCO is developing several other wellness communities around the world, including locations in Temescal Valley, California; Ubud, Bali; and on the German island of Rügen.
“The demand for wellness communities is growing worldwide, because individuals are now seeking a combination of healthy lifestyle, sustainable environments and dedicated service at their fingertips,” Ingo Schweder, GOCO’s CEO, told Spa Opportunities. “We’re witnessing an increase in health and wellness consciousness throughout the world, which is creating and supporting this change of mindset.”
