Former Palm Springs Givenchy Spa reopens under new management
POSTED 17 Feb 2005 . BY
The former Givenchy Spa resort in Palm Springs outside Los Angeles has reopened under new management as Le Parker Méridien Palm Springs.

The 13-acre, 144-room, five-star property – which boasts a 16,500sq ft (1,500sq m) spa facility – is owned by the Jack Parker Corporation and now operated by Le Méridien following a US$25m (£13m, 19m euro) refurbishment after the Givenchy spa name was withdrawn by founder, Claude Renaudin, last year.

The Palm Springs Yacht Club spa now offers a range of massage and body treatments as well as private male- and female-only swimming pols, spa pools, steamrooms, saunas and a fitness centre.

The resort, which includes 12 private one bedroom villas and the luxury two-bedroom Gene Autrey Residence – the resort was once known as Gene Autrey’s Melody Ranch – also offers four European red clay tennis courts, two pétanque courts, two outdoor and two indoor swimming pools, a croquet lawn, executive gold course and 6,000sq ft (560sq m) banquet hall.

Dining options include all day diner Norma’s and dinner-only brasserie Mister Parkers.

The hotel is a sister property to Le Parker Meridien New York.
