Stanley House teams up with Life Fitness to add advanced fitness equipment
POSTED 28 Feb 2013 . BY Aoife Dowling
Stanley House Hotel and Spa in Mellor, Lancashire has teamed up with Life Fitness to install advanced technology equipment in its fitness centre.

The new equipment includes the Life Fitness IPTV, an advanced TV solution, meaning guests can experience a higher quality picture while they train.

The technology used for each cardiovascular piece also includes a 'virtual trainer' to allow gym goers' to plug in a USB to save their training sessions and track progress.

The equipment is also synced with a training application for android and smart phones, allowing users' to customise the equipment's settings, schedule workouts and monitor the results.

The fitness centre, housed in the spa building, also offers guests a range of strength pieces, which include; Optima Series chest press, leg curl, leg extension, pull-down, shoulder press, free weights, gym ball and Power Plate.

Dave Pullen, account manager, Life Fitness said: "Working closely with Stanley House from the outset, we were able to identify its needs and work alongside the team to deliver a solution that we are confident would work for them, based on our experience within the luxury spa sector.

"Gymnasiums have transformed over time, offering people who want to get fit the chance to train in beautiful settings and workout based on their own individual targets."

In 2012, Stanley House Hotel completed a multi-million pound expansion which includes a luxury spa and the addition of 18 new bedrooms.

The luxury spa features five treatment rooms, a double treatment room with facilities including rasul, salt and aroma steamrooms, Finnish sauna, hydrotherapy pool, relaxation lounge, experience showers and an ice fountain.
