POSTED 21 Jun 2013 . BY Aoife Dowling
Warwick International Hotels makes its expansion into the mIddle East with the opening of Winter Valley Warwick Resort & Spa, on the shores of Dead Sea, Jordan.

The hotel occupies a prime location between the mountains of Mount Nebo and the Jordan River, along the northern edge of the Dead Sea and the Baptism site of Jesus at Bethany-Beyond-the-Jordan is just 10km away.

The resorts Dead Sea spa offers guests the opportunity to take advantage of the waters of the Dead sea. A spokesperson for the spa said, “the high mineral content of the Dead Sea makes it one of the most highly prized natural treatments in the world and its therapeutic benefits are legendary.”

The spa features six treatment and offers a wide variety of healing services, beautifying facials, purifying mud baths, invigorating salt scrubs, relaxing massages and mineral-infused treatments. All treatments are designed with the aim of leaving guests feeling refreshed and renewed.

Double massage beds, spa pools, sauna and steam rooms are on offer.

Signature treatments include Sea, Sand and Shell Ritual, a 180-minute spa journey that includes Shell Massage, Sand and Shell body scrub and wrap, facial, and a Jacuzzi Ritual . Additional Jacuzzi Ceremonies are designed to cleanse the body and mind for couples and include champagne and canapés.

The spa's retail section offers a wide selection of spa and beauty products, all pure organic product lines used in the spa treatments are available for purchase, including body butter, bath gel and other bath amenities.

In-between appointments at the spa, guests can relax in the relaxation area, work out in the fitness room or use the spa pools.

In addition to the spa, the hotel features 161 guestrooms and suites that boast a sand-coloured palette and designer furnishings with a private balcony overlooking the Dead Sea.

Jamal Serhan, chief executive for WIH in the Middle East North Africa region, said: “The rapid growth of WIH in the Middle East shows the capacity and the willingness of WIH to respond to hotel investors & owners looking for a privately owned and internationally recognised hotel brand to operate their hotels and resorts”.

WIH currently has 4 hotels and resorts under operation in the region (two in Jordan, two in Lebanon) and before the end of 2013, another two: the Warwick Hotel Dubai and Warwick Stone 55 Beirut are expected to be in operation.
