Right Directions to deliver ASA’s Learn To Swim accreditation
POSTED 30 May 2014 . BY Jak Phillips
Right Direction’s agreement with the ASA will bring all three leading health and fitness industry awards together
Health and safety management specialist Right Directions – the company which delivers Quest on behalf of Sport England and ukactive’s Code of Practice (CoP – will now co-ordinate the ASA’s Learn To Swim accreditation scheme for facilities offering swim schools.

Right Direction’s agreement with the ASA will bring all three leading health and fitness industry awards together, allowing operators to save time and money by achieving their ASA Learn To Swim accreditation and ukactive CoP as part of their Quest assessment.

Quest, which was launched by Sport England in 1999, is a tool for continuous improvement. It defines industry standards and good practice and encourages their ongoing development and delivery within a customer focused management framework. To date, more than 700 centres and sports development teams across the UK hold the Quest mark.

The ASA Learn To Swim pathway is an all-inclusive programme which aims to take the non swimmer from their first splash to full competency in the water and consists of four frameworks. The Learn to Swim accreditation assesses the delivery of the scheme.
