Hilton ventures into Bali with ‘something to talk about’
POSTED 12 Dec 2016 . BY Luke Cloherty
Mandara Spa’s facilities include six semi-outdoor Balinese spa villas with outdoor showers, oversized bathtubs and a tropical inner courtyard
Hilton has debuted in Bali with the Hilton Bali Resort, a cliff-top property set within a 28-acre compound, holding 389 bedrooms and suites.

The resort, located in the Nusa Dua area of Bali's southern peninsula, has a spa designed and managed by operator Mandara Spa, which provides a range of treatments including body massage, face massage, foot massage, manicure, pedicure and infrared detox sauna.

The spa also offers a number of signature package treatments including ‘Ultimate Indulgence’ – a treatment involving foot and body massages; ‘Frangipani Body Glow’ – a warm oil body drizzle; ‘Ocean Detox Wrap’ – a seaweed and clay body treatment; ‘Balinese Massage’ – an essential oils massage – and ‘Mandara Massage’ – a massage treatment performed by two therapists.

Mandara Spa’s facilities include six semi-outdoor Balinese spa villas with outdoor showers, oversized bathtubs and a tropical inner courtyard, as well as two semi-outdoor deluxe spa villas with outdoor showers, oversized bathtubs, a herbal steam room and a tropical inner courtyard. Other facilities include a beachside bale (a traditional Balinese pavilion) for Royal Thai massages, a beachside pavilion with glass windows overlooking the ocean, two single indoor spa rooms for manicures and pedicures, a spa reception and spa boutique.

“The spa is characterised by values that place the customer first, an environmental sensitivity in design and product lines, exquisite attention to detail in furnishings and surroundings and suite-centered services in which the therapist – rather than the client – moves from place to place,” the company said.

Mandara Spa mainly uses its house brand’s products, which are naturally sourced from Bali and around Indonesia, as well as skincare from UK brand Elemis.

Spa director Lulu Susiana Widjaja said: “A visit to Mandara Spa at Hilton Bali Resort is a total sensory experience. We understand that guests expect an experience like no other, one that creates a sort of 'time out of time' feel and leaves them with something to talk about and remember when they return home.”
