Elemis and Macdonald Hotels launch joint marketing campaign

The Elemis bus will offer taster sessions of signature Macdonald treatments
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts and UK product house Elemis are have launched a joint marketing campaign, which will see an “Elemis Spa Bus” visit Macdonald hotels in the UK this summer.

The ‘Treatments on Tour’ will feature Elemis’ purpose-designed, double-decker bus, offering a series of promotional events – including taster sessions of signature Macdonald treatments at discounted prices.

Elemis and Macdonald have an ongoing partnership, with the product house supplying Macdonald spas with their treatments.

The bus will offer a selection of eight facial and body treatments, giving visitors the opportunity to purchase products and book further treatments and spa days with Macdonald Hotels & Resorts.

On the lower deck 'Elemis Angels' are on hand to offer professional lifestyle and skincare advice, with one-to-one consultations. Upstairs, on the top deck, there is a SpaPod treatment area with two intelligent massage chairs and two spot-on shiatsu chairs.

The treatment range includes Elemis Energising BIOTEC Technology Facials, Anti-Ageing Touch Facials and Body Massages. Each treatment lasts 15 minutes and is designed to offer clients a feel for Elemis treatments that are available in Macdonald spas across the country.

Wellness has become a focus for the independently-owned Macdonald Hotels in recent years. Since 2015, the company has spent more than £10m (US$12.7m, €11.4m) on renovating and expanding its spa properties.

Last month, it appointed industry veteran Keith Pickard as its new group director of spa.
