Don Camilleri leaves Center Parcs to start consultancy
POSTED 04 Sep 2014 . BY Helen Andrews
Camilleri worked at Center Parcs for more than 28 years
Don Camilleri, director of construction for Center Parcs, has left the UK holiday village company to start his own consultancy called Hospitality and Leisure Concepts.

Known for his work with Center Parcs to produce and evolve the five separate Center Parcs within the UK, Camilleri is hoping to branch out and advise a new variety of clients, while still providing support to the leisure village enterprise when needed.

After completing the latest Center Parcs Woburn Forest, with a multi-sensory Aqua Sana spa, Camilleri is looking for a new challenge. “I've perfected five Center Parcs villages and I believe someone else can take the reins and go further,” he told Spa Opportunities.

Having just incorporated Hospitality and Leisure Concepts this week, Camilleri will get to work consulting on all aspects of hospitality including hotel and spa design: “Hospitality comes in a large number of guises,” he said.

As head of his own consultancy, Camilleri will take on more of an administrative role, in addition to using his problem-solving skills. “The technical part of my job won't change – the inventing and creating new ideas – depending on the clients,” he added

As of Monday (8 September), Hospitality and Leisure concepts is scheduled to consult with luxury hospitality clients including Corinthia Hotels and the four-star Langdale Hotel & Spa in Cumbria. Camilleri already enjoys close ties with Corinthia, serving as a non-executive director for real estate developer QP Management – a subsidiary of Corinthia's holding company, International Hotel Investments.
