Santé Winelands Hotel in South Africa has introduced new Acadayspa body treatments to its Santé Spa and Wellness Centre.

The 2,700sq m (29,000sq ft) spa now offers three full-day packages focused around Acadayspa therapies, which are provided by French-based company Académie Scientifique de Beauté.

Acadayspa treatments involve a bath, followed by an exfoliation, a massage, a body wrap and a body lotion, before the guest is cocooned in a wrapping sheet and left to relax.

The Relaxing Ritual with Royal Bamboo uses ingredients such as lotus flower, water lily and bamboo extracts to promote calm and harmony.

The Detoxifying Ritual with Exotic Wooden Stones aims to aid circulation with extracts of hibiscus, white tea and alginates, while the Tonifying Rutual with Celestial Spheres is designed to draw upon the sun and the moon to create a complete sense of wellbeing and relaxation.

Existing treatments available at the spa include hamman, serail and kneipp and facilities include a tepidarium, a laconium, a rainbow hydrotherapy bath and a Vichy shower and waterbed therapy.

The spa’s signature treatment is Vinotherapy, which applies crushed grape seeds, grape seed oil and red grape skins in massage, hydrotherapy and body scrubs.

Santé Winelands has also announced that it is set to launch the new Santé Junior Wellness Centre, which will offer a range of specially designed spa treatments and wellness activities for young guests.

The destination spa - which is operated by Southern Sun - is located on a 160-hectare working wine estate near Cape Town and features 39 spa suites, 10 manor house rooms and seven Vineyard Villas, each with private pool.
