Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa, Emblems Collection, close to Bath in the UK, has relaunched as the first Emblems-branded hotel in Accor’s portfolio.

The Emblems Collection is described by Accor as offering guests a “contemporary expression of luxury, defined by the soul of the destination and the soul of service.”

The company says each property in the collection tells the story of its destination through thoughtful details and sensory experiences.

The 900-year-old country house hotel estate, which has recently completed renovations, offers an English countryside retreat with 42 individually designed rooms and nine cottages.

The Spa at Lucknam Park has eight treatment rooms, including one couples’ room.

There's also a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, an indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy pool, an infrared sauna and an ice fountain.

A range of thermal cabins with sensory experiences, such as a Japanese Salt room, Amethyst Room, Aromatic Steam and Sauna are also on offer.

Additionally, the spa has its own gardens, a boutique, a social lounge with a mixology bar and a post-treatment relaxation area. There is a steamroom and sauna in both the men's and women’s changing rooms and a manicure/pedicure room.

Treatment partners

Treatment partners at the spa include luxury aesthetics brand 111Skin, CBD skincare company Kloris, child-safe bathcare brand Baby Bare Bubbles, nail brand Nailberry and locally-made skincare outfit Natural Spa Factory.

Fitness

In terms of fitness, Technogym and Life Fitness supplied the equipment for the gym and there is also a Peloton bike and a separate outdoor gym area with a range of equipment.

The property features a five-a-side football pitch, two all-weather floodlit tennis courts, an equestrian centre and woodland walks are possible in the arboretum.

There are two restaurants on-site, the Walled Garden Restaurant and a Michelin-starred venue by Head Chef Hywel Jones.

Emblems Collection expansion in 2026

Four Emblems Collection properties are due to open in 2026.

RimRock Banff, Emblems Collection, will open in the Canadian Rockies following a full renovation, marking the brand’s entry to North America. The site will celebrate its connection to the region’s natural hot springs.

Masseira Furnirussi, Emblems Collection, in Puglia, Italy, will also open with traditional Salento architecture surrounded by fruit orchards and with a lagoon pool and spa.

Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti, Emblems Collection, will join the collection in Siena, Italy, with a spa located in the building’s converted WWII-era basement.

Relais San Clemente, Emblems Collection, near Perugia in Italy, will also open in a five-hectare park of ancient trees and a building that used to be a Benedictine Convent.

Wellness concept: The Purist Retreat and Spa

The three Italian properties will each feature The Purist Retreat and Spa –  holistic and sustainable wellness concept that Accor says holds the promise of deep reconnection to nature and oneself.

The concept features four pillars:

  • Care – high-precision wellness and skincare will be tailored, alongside holistic ancestral techniques and neuroaesthetics
  • Movement – different kinds of training will be available to guests – indoor, outdoor, individual or group sessions, at varying levels of intensity.
  • Nutrition – menus will be available to suit all dietary requirements
  • Sleep – Personalised support and protocols will be created for guests

Daniel Poulin, senior director of wellness operations for Accor’s brands Sofitel, MGallery, Emblems and The Purist, recently told delegates at the Wellness Hospitality Conference in Milan, Italy, about the plans for the Emblems Collection and The Purist concept

Emblems Expansion beyond 2026

In 2027, Elatos Resort, Emblems Collection will open in Greece. This eco wellness mountain retreat in the forest of Mount Parnassus is described by Accor as ideal for skiers, hikers and those in search of tranquility. It will have 42 private chalets, each with its own private sauna, in addition to 15 hotel rooms.

Bellevue Hotel Cortina d’Ampezzo, Emblems Collection, will also open in 2027 in the Dolomites, Italy, with 80 keys and a 500sq m spa.

Accor has announced seven flagship hotels for the Emblems Collection brand across Europe and the Americas. It has more than 15 additional properties in the pipeline at advanced stages of discussion across all continents.

Over the next decade, Emblems Collection is set to feature 60 properties worldwide.
