After just one year of operation, the Alton Towers Spa at the Staffordshire theme park – has been awarded the title of Most Progressive Decléor Salon, Regional Winner 2004 by the skincare specialist.
The spa offers seven treatment rooms, a Roman sauna, an aromatic crystal steamroom, foot baths, a swimming pool, whirlpool and a tepidarium.
Visitors can alter the aromatics in the sauna and steamroom at the touch of a button, while the treatment rooms offer Arabic-style mud baths, full body massages, reflexology, reiki, body wraps and clay treatments.
The spa is for adults only, and was opened last year to offer an alternative attraction to the wide range of rides and entertainment facilities at the park.
