The 14-night minimum stay includes assessments in blood glucose profiling, organ function and a comprehensive risk assessment
Guests also receive an in-depth evaluation in Ayurveda, TCM, yoga, physiotherapy and emotional healing
Post-stay consultations and long-term follow-up help are also provided to ensure lasting results
Ananda in the Himalayas, India, has introduced a diabetes management programme for people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as well as those experiencing pre-diabetic conditions.

The integrated programme is designed for diabetes management and reversal. It blends Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), yoga, nutritional science and emotional management into a holistic experience.

Instead of focusing on only blood glucose and controlling symptoms, the programme will combine scientific protocols with practices associated with improving mind, body and lifestyle.

Case studies that have gone through a trial version of the programme have experienced the following benefits:

• Normalisation and stabilisation of blood glucose profiles.
• Dramatic improvements in cholesterol, triglycerides, weight and body composition.
• Reduced medication dependence, improved sleep quality and greater energy.

In addition to Type 2 diabetics or prediabetics seeking management and potential reversal strategies, Type 1 diabetics are invited to experience advanced complication prevention strategies.

People living with diabetes-associated conditions such as obesity, hypertension and dyslipidemia (high cholesterol) are also welcome.

The 14-night minimum stay includes assessments in blood glucose profiling, organ function and a comprehensive risk assessment.

Guests also receive an in-depth evaluation in Ayurveda, TCM, yoga, physiotherapy and emotional healing.

The Ayurvedic therapies include deep cleansing treatments, customised meals with nutritional guidance and individualised herbal beverages.

The TCM treatments are acupuncture and moxibustion (burning dried mugwort leaves on particular points of the body's surface).

Yoga and meditation sessions will be provided in combination with personalised physiotherapy for targeted interventions in cardiovascular health and mobility.

Post-stay consultations and long-term follow-up help are also provided to ensure lasting results.

Dr Sreelal Sankar, head of Ayurveda at Ananda said, “At Ananda, we target not only physiological aspects but focus on the root causes. Our commitment to holistic diabetes care is validated by strong results. We have recorded remarkable improvements in blood glucose, insulin resistance, weight and even reversal of long-standing diabetes. Our approach brings together the depth of traditional wisdom and the precision of modern health protocols, empowering individuals to transform their health, regain confidence and sustain meaningful lifestyle change.”
