The Nkomazi Game Reserve and spa will open in the Mpumalanga province in South Africa in April 2009.

The reserve will offer tented accommodation of 12 private tents, all set on the banks of the Komati River. There will also be a River Retreat spa, with two treatment rooms as well as an outdoor boma dining area and a lounge tent with a viewing deck.

Nkomazi has been restored to hold a wide range of wildlife, with conservation projects enabling the return of wild animals to a region where they can roam freely.

The reserve can support both highveld and lowveld game on the grassland and bushveld areas, with an ecological balance that includes lions and elephants.

Nkomazi Game Reserve will be situated partly within a tract of land called the Ancient Barberton Mountainland and partly in the grasslands of the Great Komati River Valley. Details: mantiscollection.com
