Be Relax opens new outlet at Heathrow
POSTED 29 Jun 2009 . BY Pete Hayman
French spa company Be Relax, which operates outlets at a number of airports across Europe, has unveiled a new 876sq ft (81.4sq m) relaxation centre at Heathrow Airport, London, UK.

Located in Terminal 5B, the Be Relax facility includes a private treatment room, nine massage chairs and a nail-bar, offering table and chair massage services and Oxygen Aromatherapy, as well as manicures, pedicures, waxing and skincare treatments.

All treatments at the new relaxation centre have been specifically designed for air passengers, with signature treatments including the Be Up massage, a chair-based massage incorporating acupressure to release stress and muscular tension.

Other signature treatments include the Be Feet leg and foot massage, which uses reflexology to restore balance and alleviate stress, the Anti Jet Lag facial to boost energy levels and an Absolut massage.

Treatments last between 10 and 60 minutes using the company's own range of branded products, as well as products developed by OPI and Institut Esthederm, and Be Relax managing director Nicolas Briest said the spa aims to attract both business and leisure travellers.

Mark Jennings, head of fashion and well being at Heathrow Airport, added: "With a clear understanding of time constraints, the relaxation centre will deliver a service that works in harmony with passengers' needs and meets our long-term commitment of making every journey better."

The Be Relax at Heathrow Airport will be managed by Caroline David, while Les Ateliers Jean Grisoni was responsible for the design and architectural concept. Be Relax already operates a relaxation centre at Manchester Airport.
