Spa Experience opens its ninth property in Belfast
POSTED 06 Feb 2017 . BY Rebecca Barnes
Spa Experience has opened it’s ninth UK spa in Belfast, as part of the redevelopment of the Olympia Leisure Centre in the city’s centre.

The Belfast outlet follows the successful introduction of the UK’s first public sector spa concept to Bethnal Green in London’s East End over ten years ago, and is the group’s first location outside England.

A joint venture between not-for-profit social enterprise GLL and Belfast City Council, Spa Experience at Belfast offers an accessible, luxury yet welcoming spa experience within a state-of-the-art community facility.

Visitors can enjoy traditional treatments and the latest modern therapies from brands including Murad, Elemis, La Sultane de Saba and CND, along with Spa Experience’s own bespoke products.

Also on offer are thermal facilities including a hamman, heated loungers, steam room, solarium, ice room and hydrotherapy pool.

Spa Experience’s signature treatments include the Total Spa Experience, a 50-minute treatment including a full body exfoliation, a warm cocoon envelopment, soothing face and scalp massage and hot stone massage.

The limited edition La Sultane De Saba Seven Spices Facial includes a specialist blend of cinnamon, clove, cardamom, ginger, anise, rose and geranium to help brighten and clear the skin, while targeted essential oils promote wellbeing.

Treatment prices start at £10 (US$12, €11) and a three-hour visit to the thermal facilities costs £19.50 (US$24, €22.50) per person.

“The Spa Experience model is now well established. We offer visitors the ultimate spa experience, with a range of treatments and varying price points, including concessionary rate, while working with leading beauty houses,” said Melissa Evans, national spa manager.

“We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment and are delighted to be able to bring our offer to Northern Ireland.”

Spa Experience is part of the Better Leisure brand, owned by Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL). The not-for-profit organisation is dedicated to making wellbeing and fitness accessible and affordable to the community.
