I’m leaving the business in the very capable hands of Caroline who has an incredible knowledge of the Thalgo world and our industry
– Marian Harvey
French marine skincare brand Thalgo has named Caroline Mahe-Lea as the new general manager of its UK branch. She will step up to the role in July after Marian Harvey retires after 38 years in the position.

Mahe-Lea will be based in Thalgo’s London office and has been tasked with developing the business, strengthening the brand's presence in the world of marine therapies and supporting Thalgo’s UK spa and salon partners.

Mahe-Lea commented: “This is such an exciting opportunity to take the reins of this position and a real privilege to be able to evolve in such a great family-owned company as Thalgo.

“Having our president, Jean-Claude Sirop, and managing director, Bernard Sirop, put their trust in me is truly appreciated and I relish this new challenge.

“I thank Marian for her dedication and hard work and for leaving us with such a strong platform to take the brand forward in the UK.”

Harvey added: “I’m leaving the business in the very capable hands of Caroline who has an incredible knowledge of the Thalgo world and our industry and I wish her and the team and our wonderful customers all the very best for their next chapter.”

Mahe-Lea began her career in 2003 in the hospitality industry in Paris and worked in international sales manager positions. From there, she moved to Brittany to join beachfront thalassotherapy hotel and spa Miramar Crouesty (now Miramar La Cigale) as sales and marketing manager which is where Mahe-Lea had her introduction to the wellbeing industry.

It was here that she was first introduced to Thalgo and when the brand opened its thalassotherapy centre – named Thalasso Concarneau – in 2015 in Brittany, Mahe-Lea was offered the position of general manager and became part of the Thalgo family.

In 2018, she then took on the management of two more Thalgo venues, Thalasso Spa Les Issambres (St Tropez Gulf) and Villa Thalgo, the Parisian flagship where she had the opportunity to redevelop the treatment offer, secure the business and turnover, re-organise the team and implement new processes.
