Champneys is to open three new day spas this year in the UK towns of Enfield, Guildford and St Albans.
Two of the boutique spas – in Guildford and St Albans – will be located in restored, listed buildings. The Enfield spa will be in a shopping development.
Each spa will cost between £300,000 (442,580 euro, US$611,000) and £600,000 (885,165 euro, US$1.2m) and will average seven treatment rooms plus mani and pedicure stations.
The first Champneys High Street-based spa opened in Chichester, UK, in November 2006.
Owner Stephen Purdew plans to open a further 16 to 20 British day spas in 2008, leading to a total of 50 spas within the next three years.
