Cheeca Lodge to reopen in December

Historic resort Cheeca Lodge and Spa in the Florida Keys, US, is to reopen on 15 December 2009 following the construction of a new Main Lodge building and expansion of its wellness facilities.

The resort's Tahitian-style Spa Lagoon will feature an expanded 11-treatment room spa as well as a relaxation room.

Closed since a fire in late 2008, the new Main Lodge has been constructed with its original port-cochere entrance and traditional Florida Keys architecture. Details: cheeca.com
