Al Ain, UAE-based City Seasons Group of Hotels will open its fifth hotel – in Muscat, Oman – in the New Year.

The 264 bedroom, luxury City Seasons Hotel Muscat will be located adjacent to a new retail complex currently being developed by the Bin Ham Group, the parent company of City Seasons Group.

Facilities include a wellness area with spa treatment rooms, steamroom, massage areas, saunas and a health and fitness club. The hotel is due to open during January.

There will also be a rooftop swimming pool and a range of restaurants offering cuisines from around the world.

The opening of the hotel is part of City Seasons’ strategy to corner the Oman hotel market.

A report published by the World Travel and Tourism Council earlier this year predicted that Oman will become the third top tourism growth market in the world, attaining a 7.8 per cent compound annual tourism growth rate through 2020.
