A new spa is scheduled to launch at the Hotel Monasterio in Cuzco, Peru, in mid-2008.
The property is part-owned by the Orient Express group and was originally a 16th Century Catholic seminary, built on Inca foundations and converted into a hotel in the 1990s. It already offers limited in-room treatments.
The hotel’s spa has been created from a convent, situated adjacent to the seminary.
Once completed, it is tipped to be one of the largest
wellness facilities in the Andes.
