The magazine brand Cosmopolitan has entered the spa market, with a new facility in Manchester.

Cosmopolitan Spirit - a glass-fronted, 10,000sq ft facility in Brown Street - is billed as a 'new concept bar and beauty spa'. It includes 12 nail stations and three treatment rooms, as well as a licensed bar, a takeaway, a restaurant, a coffee bar and a juice bar.

The spa employs 12 therapists from Ella Bache, Dermalogica and Nuxe, and treatments range from express manicures and pedicures, available on a drop-in basis, to hot and cold stone aromatherapy, American body wraps for weight loss and skin analysis using UV cameras.

The health theme is continued in the catering side of the business, with sandwiches colour-coded to indicate whether it is indulgent, balanced, created for vitality, vegetarian or gluten or wheat-free. Details: +44 (0)161 8347690
