Cowshed brand launches in Cornwall
POSTED 14 Sep 2007 . BY Sarah Todd
A Cowshed-branded spa has opened as part of the new £13.5m (20m euro, US$27.2m) St.Moritz Hotel development in Trebetherick, UK.

The new Cornish Cowshed will comprise six treatment rooms, including a ‘Cowgroom’ room where two therapists treat a client at the same time, as well as manicure and pedicure stations and a relaxation lounge.

Situated in south west England, the Cowshed spa opened on 10 September at St.Moritz along with all of its other leisure facilities which consist of a large restaurant with outdoor dining deck, a bar, lounge and gym.

A total of 12 of the hotel bedrooms were also opened, ahead of the November launch of the remainder of bedrooms and suites.

St. Moritz Managing Director Hugh Ridgway said: “There were many global spa chains who were interested in becoming our spa provider, but St.Moritz is all about bringing something fresh and different to Cornwall. The Cowshed brand certainly reflected these values and will be a huge asset to the hotel.”

Cowshed spas are part of the Soho House Group, which also owns private members’ clubs in London, UK, and New York, US, as well as Babington House in Somerset, UK.
