The New York Day Spa in Manhattan, US, has joined forces with the Center for Human Reproduction (CHR), while Dorit Baxter, of the spa, has developed a massage for women who want to become pregnant.
The spa became affiliated to the CHR in order to increase awareness of the positive effects that massage can have on both a woman’s fertility and fertility treatments.
Speaking about the CHR link, Baxter said: “The CHR is one of New York’s most recognised reproductive endocrinology and infertility centres and has already highlighted the importance of massage to create a relaxed mood for those hoping to become pregnant.”
Dorit Baxter’s new massage, called the Motherhood Massage, is intended to create a serene mental and emotional environment combined with a specially-designed strokes to create a ‘motherhood mood’.
The massage technique used will include gentle strokes to induce relaxation and
additional work on pressure points to release blocked emotion.
