Luxury leisure club operator Equinox is offering its members sweeping harbour views while they work out at its latest location in Boston, Massachusetts.

Equinox Seaport, which is the brand’s 90th global club, offers a 270-degree view of Rowes Wharf, surrounding developments and the harbour.

The 35,000sq ft (3,252sq m) club sits on Boston Harbour and has been designed with black granite, exposed steel, black oak and polished wooden floors.

It features group fitness, yoga, pilates and cycling studios, and offers personal training sessions. Initially, 52 classes will be available each week, including The Cut: Jump Rope, a jump-rope class for cardio and conditioning. In total, 90 pieces of cardio and a dedicated 8,000sq ft (743sq m) of strength training space will be on site.

The space also has a members’ lounge, changing facilities offering Kiehl’s products and eucalyptus towels, and a spa featuring two treatment rooms.

The club also has two shops; one selling clothing from brands such as Caraa, Michi and Spiritual Gangster; and the other a juice shop offering organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies, salads, soups and vegan snacks.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Equinox experience to the Seaport,” said Darren Cappetta, senior regional director of the company. “Since arriving in Boston in 2007, we’ve built an amazing community over the years and look forward to the next chapter.”

Monthly membership at Seaport, which is Equinox’s fifth club in Boston, costs $180 (€152, £137).
