The Anya Hotel in the city of Gurgaon, India, has added an Amaltas Spa by L’Occitane to its 117-bedroom property – the first L’Occitane spa in the National Capital Region, near New Delhi.

Owned by Hotel Hans Pvt, the hotel was rebranded in 2013 from a Hans-branded property to an Anya Hotels and Resorts facility. As the flagship hotel under this new luxury boutique brand, the owners teamed up with French spa brand L'Occitane to create an on-site wellness facility. Sanghvi Holdings manages the L’Occitane brand in India and has exclusive rights to develop its branded spas in India.

The hotel spa has four indoor treatment rooms, each with private steam and shower chambers. There are also two spacious couples’ suites with their own free-standing bathtubs, according to HospitalityBizIndia.com.

“The Anya experience is all about it being unique and we are thrilled to be the first home for the L’Occitane spa in the National Capital Region,” said Marcel Vadera, director of Anya Hotels and Resorts. “This is an exclusive haven of Provençal relaxation and rejuvenation.”

Darpan Sanghvi, managing director of Sanghvi Holdings, explained that the mix of business and residential areas surrounding the property made this the perfect location for the L’Occitane spa: “Life in Gurgaon is fast-paced and there is a great demand from its residents for rejuvenation facilities close to their homes. It is time that both residents and business travellers experience the revitalisation and Mediterranean art de vivre and traditional Provençal techniques.”

“The spa activity is complementary to our retail activity, which is already strong in Delhi – with three standalone stores located in Khan Market, Select City Walk and DLF Promenade – where everyone can experience the full range of our products,” said Gilles Moutounet, head of L’Occitane in India. “There has been a growing demand for the brand since we started five years ago in Delhi. The opening of Amaltas Spa by L’Occitane at Anya, Gurgaon, comes at a perfect time since many customers are already familiar with the brand and will now be happy to experience the full benefits of traditional therapies fused with L’Occitane ingredients.”

The hotel is offering a limited number of VIP memberships so the spa which will allow these guests to receive members-only signature therapies, complimentary Provençal steam experiences, previews of new products and treatments, as well as access to these benefits at all participating L’Occitane spas in India
