Campus Varberg, a university on Sweden’s west coast, is launching the country’s first degree course in spa management this year.

Tutors from Trollhattan and Halmstad universities will give the courses in the new campus buildings. Management, leadership, economics, marketing, customer relations, business economics, law and accounting are included, together with anatomy, physiology, health promotion and practical training at health and spa sites.

The three-year-course leads to a BSc degree, and the possibility of a masters degree is being discussed.
