Indonesian-inspired spa debuts in Lithuanian spa town
POSTED 20 Feb 2017 . BY Rebecca Barnes
The majority of the fixtures and fittings in the hotel have been sourced and shipped from Asia Credit: Flores Hotel
The four star hotel Flores in the traditional spa town of Druskininkai, southern Lithuania, is now open.

Occupying 322sq m (3,465sq ft), Flores Spa features steam baths, water massage beds, marble baths, hammam beds, tropical rain showers and vibrating manicure and pedicure chairs.

Inspired by Indonesian style, Lithuanian architects Ponama created a modern but exotic space using bamboo, carved wood, marble and original furniture from Bali.

Treatments include facials using ingredients such as blue and green algae and natural fruit and vegetable extracts, body procedures, scrub massages, body massages including sport and lymphatic drainage, hydrotherapy with essential oils, manicures and pedicures.

Also on the menu are couples body rituals including Oriental Bliss which includes a body scrub and relaxing body massage, and Silk and Titanium Magic which includes a body scrub with silk peeling and relaxing body massage for her, and a body scrub with titanium peeling and classic body massage for him.

With panoramic views of the old town of Druskininkai or the Nemunas river bend, the hotel features 42 light-filled rooms featuring wafer-thin metal chandeliers, natural carpets, beds decorated with wood mosaic, and sinks carved from marble or sturdy wood in the marble bathrooms.

As with the Spa, the majority of the fixtures and fittings in the hotel have been sourced and shipped from the far East. Soft tones and natural materials include the finest stone finishing, sandstone, marble and wood, plus banana leaf mats, and hand-made Balinese light fixtures and furniture.

Located in the heart of Druskininkai, a glass gallery connects the hotel to the Druskininkai Aquapark as well as the Druskininkai Health Resort.
