The company expects to hit 60,00 locations in the next five years, including internationally
A partnership with LA Fitness is creating clubs-in-clubs
Xponential Fitness, the largest global franchisor of boutique fitness brands, has announced the opening of its milestone 3,000th studio – a CycleBar in Loveland, Colorado – with more expansion in the pipeline, as well as the planned acquisition of an eleventh brand.

Speaking exclusively to HCM, Xponential Fitness CEO, Anthony Geisler, said: “We’re opening 500 to 600 studios a year, so in five years there’ll be another 3,000 studios on top of the 3,000 we already have open.”

Of those 6,000 around 1,200 are slated to be international.

Although the company has made moves towards Europe, launching in France this year, Geisler explains it's proceeding carefully with international expansion, saying: "The UK has been a softer market [for franchises] since COVID, so we’ll see how it goes with the development of BFT. And then across Europe we’ve just been planting a few flags: Germany, Austria, Portugal, Spain. We'll see how those studios perform before we move forward."

Xponential now has a presence in 23 countries and is projected to reach total studio revenues of almost US$1.4bn this year. As well as being on the brink of adding a new brand to the portfolio, the company has also partnered with LA Fitness to launch clubs-in-club studios.

“This is another way for us to expand our total addressable market,” says Geisler. “We’re using this approach to help existing franchisees expand their territories. Creating a space for our brands within LA Fitness clubs means they can address thousands more people and create more capacity for their members.”

The company operates ten brands, many of which are the largest of their type in the US. They are CycleBar; Club Pilates; assisted stretch brand, StretchLab; RowHouse; Pure Barre; YogaSix; boxing brand, Rumble; dance-based cardio workout, AKT; treadmill and strength training concept, Stride and functional training and strength brand, BFT.
