Galgorm Resort to open destination spa
POSTED 09 Jan 2007 . BY Sarah Todd
The luxury Galgorm Resort in Co Antrim, Northern Ireland, is to open a new destination spa this year as part of a £10m investment in the property.

Galgorm’s spa will focus on health, lifestyle and detoxification and boast 11 treatment rooms.

Other facilities will include a Serail Bath, a Cleopatra Bath – which is an oversized bath especially designed for body skin therapies – and a hammam.

There will also be an outdoor hot tub, elevated so that clients can enjoy views of the nearby waterfall, plus a relaxation room, thermal stone relaxation loungers, a separate thermal suite incorporating five individual climate rooms and a hydropool with water features.

Open to all of the hotel's residential guests, day passes will also be available for the spa.

The first phase of the three-tier development project is due to be completed in June this year.

Galgorm Resort is located in 96 acres of parkland and boasts its own wildlife duckpond and bluebell meadow. It is located around three miles from Ballymena and 30 minutes away from Belfast. Details: www.galgorm.com
