Gansevoort extends portfolio to Caribbean

The Gansevoort Hotel Group is to extend its brand further with third party management ventures, each with a spa, beginning with a resort in the Turks & Caicos islands.

Gansevoort Turks & Caicos, a Wymara Resort, will launch in March 2009. The 91-bedroom property on the main tourist island of Providenciales will be located in the western area of Grace Bay Beach and boast reef-protected ocean waters.

Built by the Apollo Development Company, the resort will have a 7,000sq ft (650.3sq m) infinity-edged pool as well as an Exhale Spa. Details: gansevoorthotelgroup.com
