Go Iman has launched its new rating certification for hotels, which provides an opportunity for the global hospitality sector to offer Shariah friendly or compliant facilities to Muslims.
According to Go Iman, the unveiling of the new system will allow operators to capitalise on the 1.6 billion Muslim people across the world looking for services to suit Halal lifestyles.
Hoteliers will be able to apply for the Shariah friendly or compliant rating through an online application form and a self-assessment process, which will then deliver a 1-7 star rating.
John Wheeler, director at Go Iman, said: "By making a few minor adjustments, thousands of hotels will be in a position to attract millions of Muslim travellers from all over the world.
"These adjustments provide Muslim travellers with the necessary facilities, making their travel more comfortable, without compromising their faith-based values."
Go Iman was founded by Islamic scholar and barrister Shaykh Faizul Aqtab Siddiqi.
